Among all the European destinations covered by our river cruises, it would have been a shame to omit Luxembourg, a destination that is still too often undervalued. In fact, in addition to it being the fifth largest financial centre of the continent, the city of Luxembourg, is also commonly known as the "Green Heart of Europe" because of its dense vegetation and its urbanism linking nature and the modern world.
The city of Luxembourg pays tribute to monuments such as the Grand Theatre, the National Library and The Grande-Duchesse Joséphine-Charlotte Concert Hall, a state-of-the-art theatre. The old town, for its part, takes on the appearance of an old fortress perched at the top of its sandstone promontory and partitioned by its ancient fortifications.
The imposing ravine of the Pétrusse separates the old from the new, connected by several bridges, including the famous Adolphe bridge.
