Passengers are welcome to board our ship at 6 p.m. After comfortably settling into your cabins, we'll introduce our crew at a welcome cocktail. We'll enjoy dinner on board as our ship cruises to Mâcon. Don't miss Lyon lit up at night as we depart!
This morning's excursion will be in the Beaujolais region-named after the Lords of Beaujeu, who ruled the area until the 15th century. We'll crisscross charming, wine-dominated villages before arriving at the Hameau Duboeuf, an original wine theme park with over 3,000 objects that span over 2,000 years. The visit includes a tour of the winemaking center, where we'll learn about traditional and modern techniques. In the afternoon, we'll explore the golden-hued villages in the region. As we travel along the wine route and through each village, you'll understand why the region's nickname is "Little Tuscany." We'll stop off in Oingt, a picturesque medieval village perched on a hill overlooking the Azergues Valley, and visit a local vineyard for a tasting. We'll return to Lyon in the evening.
In the morning, join us for a guided tour of the city and a tasting at Les Halles de Lyon-Paul Bocuse.(3) We'll cross through the city and go up Fourvière Hill to the white basilica, the best place to take in the view. Then we'll head over to Vieux Lyon to have a look at its historical homes and the bouchon restaurants that are found throughout the district. Learn about the discrete and strategic doorways leading to shortcuts, known as traboules, that go from street to street. Don't miss the tasting of fine food at Les Halles de Lyon, a huge, three-story, indoor market where close to 50 shops offer the finest gourmet food. We'll enjoy a snack of local sausage and cheese, topped off with a lovely glass of wine.
We'll cruise to Tain-l'Hermitage in the afternoon and arrive in the evening.
This morning, we'll set out on an excursion to Tain-l'Hermitage, a name synonymous with excellent Mediterranean wines. We'll visit a local vineyard for a tasting. After our tour, we'll return on board the ship in Tain-l'Hermitage.
After our excursion, we'll return on board the ship. We'll spend the afternoon cruising to Avignon, arriving during the evening.
This morning, join us for a visit to Saint-Rémy-de-Provence. Discover this adorable village located in the Alpilles Regional Nature Park. We'll visit a local vineyard for a tasting. Return on board and our ship will cruise to Arles.
In the afternoon, guidedtour of Arles in the footsteps of Van Gogh. This ancient Roman city, listed asa UNESCO world heritage site. It is also the place that inspired Van Gogh, hecreated around 300 drawings and paintings there.
Night stopover in Arles. Duringthe evening, join a wine expert on board for a demonstration and tastingcontest. Finalists will partake in a blind tasting. The winner will be given the title of Bacchus for the remainder of the cruise, and they will walk away with the golden prize: A food lover's cruise on the Rhine(3) featuring French top chef Marc Haeberlin.
This morning, the excursion proposed is: the Côtes de Provence region, located between the Mediterranean Sea and the Alps. Provence boasts some of the most beautiful scenery in the world and is also home to quite a number of France's most prestigious wines. We'll visit a local vineyard for a tasting.
Our ship will cruise to Martigues.
Tonight is our festive gala evening.

PLEASE NOTE : For safety reasons, the company and/or the captain of the ship are the only authorities who can modify the cruise itinerary.
(1) Participants will answer questions and the winner will be entered in the random drawing at the end of the cruise. A five-day cruise for one person in a Main Deck cabin OR a €500 discount on the cruise of your choice (one cruise per departure – does not include the Rivers and Cultures of the World tours and cruises).
(2) Depending on mooring availabilities, the stopover in Martigues may be replaced by Port Saint Louis du Rhône.
(3) Les Halles de Lyon-Paul Bocuse is closed on Sunday and Monday. We will provide a tasting of local products as a substitute.
